RECREATIONAL COACH WORKSHOP
What: The Recreational Coach Workshop is for anyone interested in
learning the basics of coaching and teaching tennis or seeking a refresher on
more current methods and the effective tools that are available.
Taught by a specially trained, certified teaching professional,
this active 6-hour session includes:
· Games and drills every coach
should know
· The games-based approach to
coaching
· Teaching large groups
· Running effective team
practices
Who: The Workshop is open to high school coaches, NJTL leaders &
coaches, After-school program leaders, physical education teachers, summer
recreational program instructors, parents and any other volunteers interested
in helping tennis grow.
Location: Montgomery County Family
YMCA Carder Tennis Center (Indoor courts)
When: Saturday, June 7, 2008 from 9:00
a.m. to 3:45 pm. (Includes 30–45 minute
lunch break.)
Registration Fee: $5.00 per person, if you
register by Friday, May 23, 2008.
$10.00 per person if you register
after May 23.
(The Fee will be refunded to you if you attend the workshop.)
